Just a few weekend pictures

We had a wonderful long weekend with family. Grandma Martha came on Friday to take the kids and me to lunch at Chick-Fil-A. Yummy food AND play time? Yes, please! She also brought some really cute new books for the kids, which are always a hit in this house full of readers! Just as we were getting home from lunch, my parents were getting to the house to spend the weekend with us, and my brother came up about an hour later. We had a great time laughing, playing outside, visiting the Farmer's Market and the park and going on neighborhood walks, watching movies, and eating yummy food. We loved getting to spend so much time outside with the gorgeous weather we had this weekend!

Just a few pictures from the weekend: some tummy time for Hannah, dune racer time for Joshua, and a couple shots David got of Hannah and me in the backyard :)

Puzzle Proud

Joshua asked Daddy to help him put together this puzzle during quiet time...and he was pretty proud of the finished product!

My funny girl

I just love Leah's fashion sense: a polka dot ruffly skirt paired with a Lightning McQueen baseball cap!

But, seriously...best smile ever :)

Mother's Day

Even though our whole family was sick on Mother's Day weekend, David and the kids showed me so much love!

The kids made Rice Krispie Treats and did hand/footprints on a sweet card. They also decorated a special plate for me, which I love! David picked up a few kitchen things I've been needing, a little angel snow globe for each of the kids, and had 4 pictures (some of my very favorite photos of the kids) sealed and framed for me to hang on the walls. He also wrote me the sweetest letter that I will treasure forever. Words of encouragement and love from your husband about what a great wife and mother you are? Priceless!

I'm so, so, so grateful for my sweet little family and the blessing of being a mother to 3 precious little ones that I love more than anything in the world.

Going for a walk

All 3 kiddos in the stroller for a walk--pushing them is a workout for sure!

Even though this last picture caught Joshua
with a funny face, I had to post it because
I love the baby's goofy smile as she looks
at David off camera :)

Hugs and Little Bugs

Joshua and Leah have recently started hugging...all the time. It usually happens because in the middle of playing, Leah will say, "Joshua, can I give you a hug?" They'll stop whatever they're doing and just hug and smile. It is seriously the SWEETEST! And it is way better than when Joshua pushes Leah down or Leah snatches a toy from Joshua ;)

And just so Hannah can get a little cameo appearance, here she is playing on her play mat--she loves playing with her feet these days.

Preschool Mother's Day Gifts

I'm sure you can imagine the smile that spread across my face as I opened Joshua's backpack after school today and saw the things he'd made for me for Mother's Day!

For a little boy who would rather do
just about anything instead of color,
this was pretty great!

This is a flower made out of pipe cleaner
and tissue paper, and inside the flower are
2 Hershey's Kisses...I don't want to take them
out and eat them because I don't want to ruin
the flower!

The front of the card...I asked Joshua
to read it to me...hearing these words in
his sweet voice just melted my heart!

The inside of the card. Green is his favorite
color, so I'm guessing he got to choose the
color he wanted for his hand prints.
Everything made by these little hands
is so very precious to me!

Grandma's Sunday Dress Report

My mom always enjoys seeing Leah's church outfits, so here's a few pictures from today:

You be the judge...

After posting the last picture of Leah on Facebook, one of my friends from college asked me to post a picture of me at about the same age, as she said Leah is a mini-me. I think this will be fun to keep doing as she gets older, to see if we continue to be "twinsies," as my friend called us :)

So, what do you think?

Wearing Grandma's Favorite Hat

My mom LOVES when Leah's puts on this hat...
and I love that big smile!

Jeggings?!

You know it couldn't possibly be me wearing a pair of jeggings, so it's got to be Leah :)

At least one gal in this family is cute and fashionable, right? She may be a tomboy, but she cleans up real nice! ;)
