Summer fun

Fallen off the blogging wagon again, haven't I? So many things to do, and only so much time in the day...and when I've got a little down time, instead of posting pictures like I probably should, I end up reading instead (a dorky little habit I picked up as a child and one that my son has apparently inherited--he loves his books more than anything else in this house!) I'm currently re-reading the Harry Potter series when Joshua's napping...amazing how fast a nap time flies when you're hanging out at Hogwarts :)

These are just a compilation of pictures from the past month or so:

Shoes...second only to books as Joshua's favorite plaything.
I've pretty much given up keeping the shoe rack organized because of this.

Joshua, apparently imitating a monkey.

Pulling up on the side of the pool...he seems confused that
he's allowed to do this here, but gets in trouble for doing
it in the bathtub.

This little fish L-O-V-E-S the water!

A smile that melts his Mommy's heart every single time...

And no day in the pool would be complete without
a cheesy tooth-filled grin for the camera.

Is there really anything cuter than a baby bundled up in a towel?
I don't think so.

Playing with Grandma's necklace before church.
How cute is he in that polo shirt and sweater vest with sailboats?!

After a swim, Daddy decided a Fudge Pop was a good treat...
especially since there was no shirt to get dirty!
And I think it is obvious that Joshua agreed :)

Rain, rain, go away...

Just a few pictures from today. We were stuck inside because of rain, which was "on-again, off-again" all day.

Joshua's reation to any attempt at using a flash on the camera

Love that open-mouth grin...
you can almost hear him laughing, can't you? :)

Just hanging out in Mommy's laundry basket...
all the cool kids do it

Why I can never get good pictures of my adorable son--
trying to grab the camera is WAY more interesting than posing!

The face I get about a million times a day:
"Mommy, pick me up...c'mon, you know that whatever
you are doing couldn't possibly be as important as me.
Or, if it really is that interesting, I need to see it too...
PICK ME UP!"
