Easter weekend
Joshua, as evidenced below, is very excited that Grandma and Grandpa came up for the Easter weekend! He is quite the good little sitter, by the way. I think he is just so cute when he sits there and bangs his toys on the ground and chatters away :)

The Easter Bunny (aka Grandma) decided to bring Joshua a HUGE stuffed sea turtle. I'm not sure what the connection is between Easter and sea turtles, but Joshua didn't mind in the least...he loves his new friend, who we have dubbed Timmy the Turtle (to go along with Freddie the Frog and Sammy the Sea Horse). Joshua sits in front of Timmy and bends down to "kiss" him over and over...I think he is actually trying to lick the furry shell :)

We love getting to spend time with our families!
Joshua loves playing with Grandma's hair, and with the addition of two teeth, decided her chin would be a fun teething toy!
Grandpa took a nap on the couch and when Joshua woke up from his nap, he decided Grandpa should be awake too!

After having a great weekend with my parents, we drove to Durham on Sunday afternoon to spend time with the Isgetts. The Easter Bunny (aka Grandma Martha) had more presents for him there: a stuffed monkey, a toy cell phone, a set of toy keys, and a toy with balls that go around and around inside. Lots of Joshua's aunts and uncles were there, and Joshua had a great time, especially with Aunt Shelley.

Big smile
To help my mom make it to the weekend...
Just a video of Joshua on the move...
My mom and dad are coming up for the weekend, and my mom loves watching videos of Joshua to hold her over between visits. I like to imagine Joshua has been inspired by watching Carolina basketball and is already training to play someday...of course, that would require that he gets exactly 0% of his height genes from me!
By the way, how 'bout them Heels? 2009 National Champs--woo hoo! :)
Sleepy boy
My good little eater
Well, so far, this little guy likes his veggies! He's been enjoying rice cereal in the evenings for the past couple of months, and once we got the okay from his doctor at his 6 month appointment, we added baby food to the menu. We've been doing some rice cereal and baby food in the morning, more baby food at lunch time, and rice cereal and baby food in the evenings. Along with his milk, he's taking in tons of food!
So far we've tried (and liked):

Soon we'll be trying green peas, squash, bananas, applesauce, peaches, and pears. Hopefully they'll go over as well as the others have so far. I'm just keeping my fingers crossed that he'll continue to like veggies and fruit this much as he gets older...I've already told David that he's got to be a good example for Joshua :)

6 months old!
Hey Joshua...guess what?
You're 6 months old today!
Weight: 16lbs 2oz (30%)
Length: 25.75in (30%)
Head Circum: 43.3cm (40%)
You're doing lots of push-ups and starting to leap frog...
even though you end up going backwards most of the time!
You tried sweet potatoes for the first time...and you loved them!
And you've got a tooth just coming through on the bottom...
no wonder you've been drooling so much :)
Daddy and I are so proud of you and what a wonderful little
